Passionate about materials, craftsmanship and industrial manufacturing processes, the complementary pair strives to propose a meaningful design and to create products that value use and function through clean lines.
Immersing themselves in contexts with diverse constraints and needs, they develop a specific approach to each project, with constant objectives of rationality and forms accuracy. With a high requirement in every stage of the project, the studio manages collaborations from artistic direction to space, furniture and product design.
Since 2009, Amandine and Aïssa are also involved in developing in situ projects for i.d.o, a non-profit association and collaborative interdisciplinary platform, dedicated to offering design and architecture skills, in order to develop and accompany solidarity projects in countries under development.
process & tools
The duo has a pragmatic design process in which prototyping and models making are key elements, and dialogue continuously with drawing and 3D modeling. Depending on the nature of the project and the client’s expectations, they develop a specific approach based on a precise and experienced methodology, and offer their collaborators a clear visibility and comprehension of the work process from the conception phase to the launch of the production. The studio has a range of skills and tools dedicated to the development of its projects, among them 3D printings, virtual reality headset, band and circular saws, drill press, workbench with woodworking machines...
