Wander mirrors
What was the idea behind Wander?
Born during the first confinement, the Wander mirrors are the result of an approach free from any constraint. Initially paintings and collages, it was about escaping through gesture and image, in a space composed of colors, textures and varied shapes. We then questioned different materials through models (cf Aura mirrors), to accentuate the contrasts of transparency and the reflections, in order to end up with a bright and colorful wall object, thought of as a window to another world, lighter and more joyful than the period we were going through at that moment.
Can you tell us more about the aesthetic territory in which you originally imagined Wander?
A graphic object, simple and bright, which gives pride of place to materials and colors, and offers a combination of familiar and easily readable shapes. The mirror is a typology that offers a certain graphic and artistic freedom, and we thought of this collection as a family of abstract paintings.
And the proportions and shapes?
Three sizes, two positions (vertical and horizontal), three color combinations and six mirror shapes, to meet different uses, adapt to different spaces and allow everyone to find the mirror that suits him best!
