Wooden Stool #05

For the past four years, the studio has begun an exploratory work on everyday life seats, first of all questioning the archetype of the wooden stool according to various cultures and contexts of use. This ongoing work is being developed through the production of full-scale cardboard mockups followed by wooden prototypes designed within the workshop.

A research project centered on the analysis of the posture between user and seat, as well as a meticulous study of the various traditional wooden assemblies, with the desire to formally revisit standard objects and to sublimate them by taking care of every detail.
